Bryngwyn's Girls Touch Rugby Update

Last Thursday, 3 teams of girls from Key Stage 3 took part in the WRU Carmarthenshire Schools Touch Rugby Tournament. The tournament was held at the indoor training barn at Parc-Y Scarlets. 14 teams entered the competion and the day was full of excitment. On arrival, the girls got to watch a 30 min training session with all of the Scarlets' first team players. The tournament then started and Bryngwyn's A team soon emerged as a strong favourite. They managed to win all of their matches and qualified for the semi finals where they beat Pant y Celyn School. The final game saw stiff competition from Bro-Myrddin and at full time it was 0-0. The game went into extra time and a superb try from Candy Davies Yr 9 saw Bryngwyn emerge vitorious.

It was a fantastic effort by all the girls who took part!
