Bryngwyn School is the SWALEC Junior Stars Prize Winner!!

Gareth Morgan, PE Teacher, has received the following letter from SWALEC:

It is my pleasure to inform you that Bryngwyn School U14s rugby team has been selected as one of four winners of the 2011/12 SWALEC Junior Stars promotion, after receiving the majority of votes in the school’s category.

Courtesy of SWALEC, Official Community Partner of the Welsh Rugby Union, your U14s squad (up to a maximum of 20 players and 3 adults per team) will enjoy an exciting VIP experience at the National Centre of Excellence located at the Vale Resort, near Cardiff this spring. The exact date and timings will be communicated to you in due course.

The prize day will consist of:

-       A training session with members of Wales’ international rugby team and their coaching staff

-       A coaches clinic for the adults present

-       Lunch and refreshments

-       A goody bag of merchandise for each player

-       An opportunity to have merchandise signed by present players and coaches

-       Complimentary travel to and from the Vale Resort

We would also like to show our appreciation for the time you have taken to enter the competition by offering yourU14s squad and three adult chaperones free entry to the SWALEC Finals Day event on Monday 7th May 2012 at the Millennium Stadium.

Please confirm receipt of this letter and redeem your SWALEC Finals Day tickets by contacting me on the number below by Friday 9th March 2012.

At this point, SWALEC would like to organise for a photographer to visit the winning team at a match day or training session, in order to announce their success to the local media. We are aware of child protection issues and, to this end I will provide you with a photography consent form to be completed by each team member.

We would also like to book and fund your travel arrangements to and from the Vale Hotel, so please be prepared to confirm your preferred pick-up and drop-off location.

On the day, the youngsters will need to bring their rugby kits including shorts, socks and trainers (a t-shirt will be provided) for the training session, plus a change of casual/sportswear for lunch.

Congratulations once again and I look forward to hearing from you and meeting the squad in due course.
