Bryngwyn said Welcome, Croeso, Sveiki to four pupils and two teachers from the Kaunas Municipality Children`s Home in Lithuania who visited the school on Tuesday, 10th May.

Their visit to the school was part of a week of activities funded by the committee, players and fans of Llanelli AFC together with generous donations from the local business community. The teachers, Elena and Ruta were hugely impressed at the facilities and resources on offer at Bryngwyn and commented on the friendliness and excellent behaviour of the pupils. The Lithuanian pupils, Deividas (aged 15), Jonas (14) Gabriele (17) and Samanta (15) joined in lessons in Geography, Art, Design and Technology, English, Maths, Physics and P.E. Gabriele enjoyed her Geography lesson as it is her favourite subject and Samanta immersed herself in her textiles lesson. Deveidas and Jonas could not wait to sample the school`s excellent sporting facilities and thoroughly enjoyed their five-a-side football session. Indeed, Deveidas commented that he would love attend Bryngwyn full-time.

The pupils exchanged gifts with members of registration group 8-6 and form captains Josie Darkins and Jordan Thomas presented a cheque for £50 which the class raised by holding a cake stall.

It was a delight to host the teachers and students and the school wishes them every success for the future.
